Dasht Naz Agricultural Company (Private Joint Stock) annually cultivates approximately 2,500 hectares of various cereals and oilseeds and about 800 hectares of different forage crops. In addition to fully supplying 100% of livestock feed requirements for products such as barley, triticale silage, and straw, the company provides 50% of the total feed requirements of its livestock unit. The company is also one of the largest producers of essential seeds in the province, including wheat, and by producing approximately 4,000 tons of milling wheat, it supplies a significant portion of the province’s flour demand.
With the commissioning of the second phase of the hydroponic (soilless) greenhouse complex, constructed using plastic and polycarbonate structures, the total greenhouse area of Dasht Naz Agricultural Company has increased to 13 hectares. With an annual production capacity of approximately 3,000 tons of vegetables and greenhouse crops, the company has taken effective and substantial steps toward achieving a dynamic economy and maximizing regional and national capacities. Its products are mainly exported to Russia, countries of the Caspian Sea region, and the Persian Gulf states.
With approximately 805 hectares of citrus orchards, Dasht Naz Agricultural Company is recognized as the largest citrus producer in the country. Currently, it supplies around 22,000 tons of high-quality citrus fruits annually to domestic and international markets. With the full utilization of the orchards in the coming years, it is expected that annual citrus production will increase to 30,000 tons.
In addition, with 466 hectares of water reservoirs, the company not only stores excess winter surface water to supply irrigation water for part of the spring crops, but also utilizes the capacity of some reservoirs to produce approximately 500 tons of warm-water fish and fingerlings annually.
The company’s dairy farming unit is the largest dairy cattle breeding unit in northern Iran. This unit has a capacity of 2,800 productive cows and approximately 5,014 head of cattle in total, with an annual production and sales capacity of 35,000 tons of raw milk, 300 pregnant heifers, 1,500 fattened male calves, and 800 slaughter-ready cattle.
